What is the difference between regular question banks and MOC question banks?

The regular Board Review question banks are for those who are preparing for the initial board certification exam that occurs soon after the completion of their residency training.

The MOC (Maintenance of Certification) question banks are specially designed for recertification exams which are required by the speciality boards and are taken by current specialists and physicians in order to keep their current speciality certification up to date.

For practicing physicians, we often find ourselves having to meet different compliance guidelines and institutional requirements that differ from those of residents. This is the reason for the greater charge for the MOC question banks.
