It can explain concepts, summarize key points, generate flashcards, and quiz you further — all based on BoardVitals content, right where you're studying. You'll find Claire AI available while reviewing your completed quizzes and assignments, browsing or searching content, and checking your performance by subject or over time. This guide covers: - When Claire AI is available for self-study vs. institutional access - Getting started with Claire AI's starter prompts - Asking Claire AI your own questions - What each icon and control does - Tips for writing better prompts - Prompt ideas to try - How to use Claire AI during your study sessions  **Claire AI® Availability: Self-Study vs. Institutional Access**  Please note that Claire AI® is currently available for our medical student and residency question banks, except for echocardiography. We intend to expand Claire AI® to other specialties, like nursing and allied health, in the coming months. When Claire AI® appears can depend on how you access BoardVitals: - If you purchased a BoardVitals question bank on your own, Claire AI® is available while you're actively answering questions in a standard quiz, as well as anytime you're reviewing a completed quiz, browsing or searching content, or checking your performance. - If you receive BoardVitals through your hospital, school, or institution, Claire AI® is **NOT available yet** but will be in the coming months. Once it becomes available, you can access Claire AI once you're reviewing a completed quiz or assignment, browsing or searching content, or checking your performance — it isn't shown while you're actively taking a quiz or assignment. It does not use content from outside BoardVitals or from the open internet. **Does Claire AI® use Learner Questions or Conversations to Train the Underlying AI Model?**   No. Claire AI® does not use learner questions, messages, or interactions to train or modify the underlying AI model.   **Are Learner Conversations Stored? If so, why?**   Yes. Conversations may be captured for quality monitoring — for example, reviewing whether Claire AI® is responding accurately and consistently.
